we had a meet me at the corner filming at lombardi's this morning. i walked into the restaurant and overheard scott wiener (of scott's pizza tours) saying " . . . and there are some new yorkers that have never even been here!" "like me!" i said. but now i have . . and i don't want to have pizza anywhere else . . it was just too delicious! i have a little excerpt of scott expounding on brick ovens and fresh mozzarella cheese that i'll put up later.
cooking the pizzas in the brick oven. lombardi's was the first pizzeria to receive a business license in nyc in 1905, and has been in the family ever since.
sharing a delicious margarita pizza.

Oooh! I love their pizza. I haven't been there in years. I think the last time I went Camille and Yves were toddlers! yumm! They use all fresh ingredients, real mozzarella, fresh basil, the best olives, proscuitto....
