i called my friend janet last night to remind her about spindle 7. this morning i wasn't sure if i wanted to go as we we were in the midst of preparations for a friend's birthday party in the afternoon (it was going to be a "show" and there were character props and clothing to assemble, besides the gifts to be wrapped and the card to be made) and there was really no one to stay with c, so i felt a bit agitated and confused. nevertheless, janet was enthusiastic to be off so m and i went along for the ride, and we were very glad we did! the day was sunny and the view of the city when the train came out of the tunnel in queens was beautiful! it was warm . . we met with other spinners . . there was a mets game so baseball fans were happy . . it was a glorious day for spinning! of course my spinning skills were rather embarrassing . . but everyone else did well! in fact, janet's son spun two gorgeous balls of yarn while riding the full 7 train circuit (it was a special morning . . thank you robyn!).
m and i left early to get home to c, and to finish getting ready. it's good we did, or we would never have made the party in time, and we only made it in time because the M11 bus was actually punctual! while the party children began rehearsing with the birthday girl for their show, i walked over to bryant park and sat in the AT and T device support center store to see about getting a new phone (which i did). while sitting (and getting very impatient) i thought about the point, where ysolda from scotland was holding court for the afternoon. i didn't get to meet her today, but maybe saturday?

Love your video snippet! Thank you so much for coming. Lucy also was inspired and spun on the bus and train all day on Monday...
