laying the brick path in the children's garden

we worked in the children's garden today. yesterday our neighbors dug out the path and today we laid the bricks. first, we had to dig out the cobblestones a bit more, lay the weed paper, empty out some sandbags and level the sand, and then finally lay the bricks. c laid down the most bricks. she was amazing how she fit each one in. many times i thought there wasn't enough room, but she would just joggle the bricks on either side and squeeze another in between. there's still a lot of planting and clean up and more brick laying to do, but we're off to a good start.
