spring is here

i have finally accepted that spring is here. the magnolia blossoms get bigger and bigger every day beneath our courtyard window, and we bought some beautiful cherry blossoms upon which we hung our spring eggs. it's also been wonderful to hear cardinals and sparrows singing outside our windows. spring has always been a melancholy time for me. i find it difficult to open up again after hibernating all winter. but this winter was nice and cold with lots of snow . . so i feel like i've had my fill. and spring has been slow in coming . . we've gone from 35 degree days to 45/50 degrees in a nice slow progression. it hasn't just suddenly hit 60.
