i love the fernando botero statues of adam and eve in the time warner center at columbus circle. they are so big and round and satisfying to look at in a city of so many sharp angles. there was another beautiful one of a nude woman reclining just to the right of the man, however, it's been removed. it also was so smooth and round. i'm not sure if it was a botero. i wish they would bring her back.
so, we were walking through the time warner center today after the patrelle nutcracker audition. the girls might be a reindeer and an angel in francis patrelle's yorkville nutcracker. we had some tea at whole foods (the organic scarlet with quite a bit of agave nectar - it's very good) while discussing if we could make all the required rehearsals. the parts don't require as much dancing as the girls would have liked, but it's always fun to be part of a nutcracker production during the holiday time, especially such a fun and uniquely new york show as the yorkville nutcracker.
