an audition day

m. and c. had a ballet audition today. here are several of us parents, discreetly peeking in at the audition scene. i think it was a very positive experience for all because the teachers at this school truly appreciate a child's efforts and love to teach (and i have distinct comparisons in my head!). not all the auditioners may be chosen for the school, but it appeared to me (and m. seconded this) that they all enjoyed the class and came away feeling that they were given a chance to do their best. c. had her turn first and then talked on the phone (with a friend who also had an orchestra audition somewhere else at the same time) and popped bubbles in the plastic covering the rug while she waited for her sister.
