i started this blanket last summer and i finished, if my memory serves me correctly (!), last september. so why am i only blocking it now? should i admit to something like this? actually, i blocked it last fall, but i stretched it out too much and the pink edging curled in. so it sat all winter in a white and red hanna andersson gift box on one of the myriad piles in my room, and i'm finally reblocking it. of course the impetus for the reblocking comes from the fact tha
t the baby it's for is now one year old. AHHHH! i don't know where the time goes.it's a beautiful spiral, which i love doing, and the yarn is knitpicks superwash; so soft! i have some lovely blue that i would like to start making into another spiral blanket. the baby it's for turns one in october. maybe i still have a little time?! the blanket you see here is supposed to have a pink flower in the middle. k. made one for me (the blanket is for her piano teacher), but (alas!), i've misplaced it. a new one has been requested, but not yet made! not surprising. i really should go get a crochet hook and wake her up and get her working this second, or it will never get done.
