good friends and lost opportunity
sometimes when i'm out with my camera, i'm planning the blog as i shoot and film. that happened today. our friends were visiting after dropping their son off at columbia (it's his first year) and i shot the sweetest good-bye movie as they were pulling away from the curb in their car (complete with slo-mo waves and kisses). well, at least i thought i was shooting the sweetest good-bye movie . . unfortunately, i neglected to properly press down on the shutter button and instead started filming when i was intending to STOP filming . . i have a nice picture of them, but not the fun movie i was hoping i had caught!
we ate at john's on bleecker street and then walked over to washington square. i love the above photo so much because k is in it too. it's rare i get a picture of her these days. here she is posing with her good friend whom she met at UU camp in ferry beach, maine. i hope we get to see her and her mom and dad more often now that her brother is at columbia. but, you never know . . i know how busy we get in our lives . . and the winter months fly by . .
